Digital pathology is one of the fields of medical. It is purely belong to the pathology or pathologist. Digital pathology mainly focuses on clinical data, patient information, glass slides and reporting management that are saved in digital form and can be accessed through the internet. Digital pathology works based on the algorithm  and machine learning process. Digital pathology offer Tele-pathology. Telepathology  is the study of pathology from a distance, using a video monitor to see an image instead of a microscope to examine a specimen up close and can discuss among doctors and pathologists.

Digital pathology  improves patient-specimen identification and protects it from damage or deteriorating. Digital pathology aids in rapid identification of the cause of illness or abnormalities of tissue. Digital pathology provides a smooth workflow, enhances diagnosis, saving financial for both the patient and health provider. Virtual microscopy is used in digital pathology, which is operated by computer based technology. The second name of the virtual microscope is whole slide imaging(WSI). WSI in which the glass slide is scanned by a digital camera and the captured image is converted into a digital image, This image can be visualized , managed, shared, and analyzed by computers and the internet. In the WSI, the Z stacking mechanism is used to scan the images from multiple focal planes along with the vertical Z-axis..Through machine learning and artificial intelligence in health care,  it helps in rapid diagnosis, researchers and  study for students and faculties.
